Julie Trudel
Retournement 1
For À l’affiche, Julie Trudel strives to translate into print her interest for a medium’s specific materiality and constraints, limiting herself to a purely black palette as she exploits the paper’s inherent transparency. Her experiments here yield surprising results in which ink collects around the subtle bulges created by the sheet folded underneath itself.
Edition of 25 copies printed on Mylar paper of archive quality, 45 x 60 cm. Double-sided silk-screen print with foldings.
