Myriam Dion
Reprise de la plaque de Mizrah, Shiviti
Myriam Dion appropriates the various techniques of paper craft as a way to rehabilitate traditional know-how. For À l’affiche, she uses silkscreen printing to combine this concern with the revisiting of a specific object from Jewish folklore: the Shiviti. Through playfulness and beauty, the work slowly reveals its full complexity, as imagery from an ancient era resurfaces.
Edition of 55 copies printed on Cougar 130 lbs of archive quality, 56x76 cm. 7-colors silk- screen print.
